MANILA, Philippines — After missing the previous heartbreaking campaign of PLDT, a fit-again Savi Davison is determined to lead the High Speed Hitters to a first ever podium finish in the 2024-25 PVL All-Filipino Conference.
Coming off a six-month absence due to surgery on her previous knee injury, the Filipino-Canadian spiker made a rousing comeback with 19 points to lead PLDT past Nxled, 25-15, 25-17, 22-25, 25-22, on Tuesday at Philsports Arena.

The PLDT go-to scorer admitted it was a tough journey recovering from her injury and being limited to a mere cheerleader on the sidelines.

Seeing everything from the outside perspective, I think that was the hardest part, but you know, it makes you think about all the things you should be grateful for once you get back, and just being able to move again,” said Davison.
Davison said she is also looking forward to battling the top pro teams anew.
“I’m actually excited to face all of them. There’s been a lot of changes in the PVL and I’m excited to see kinda how things turn out with coaches, new players, etc. I can’t really say that there’s one kind of team to look forward to,” said Davison.
